A GOLDEN RULE FAMILY
We each need respect for our different beliefs
and cultures.
Religious Freedom strengthens and gives us
Religious Tolerance.
While in this life each of us is limited in the
search for the fullness of Truth.
Scientific proof about Spiritual matters is limited.
We have only our individual beliefs that come
mostly from our cultures as each one sees God
in a limited way.
Yet the Universal message from someone or
something we call God, in most of our world’s beliefs,
is the Universal Golden Rule.
This we can believe in, without doubt, and agree on,
as the best way to live together.
It simple says to treat others with equal fairness
and concern. Anyone, with a sound mind, can confirm
this in their own mind and heart.
This gives us an equal human partnership with each other
to be able to establish unity and peace in our diversity.
The Golden Rule Family is just that.
You pick at least one other person, as many as
12 people, you can feel close to.
These become your Golden Rule Family.
This is not a about living together in a house,
although you can do that, and many of our bylaws
are written for those who do choose to live together.
This is about Freedom, Equal Rights, Friendship,
and the protection of those rights.
The only requirement, besides practicing the
Universal Golden Rule
is to keep in touch at a minimum, of once a year,
when possible or more. It will be up to you.
As co-founders Rachel and I make up only one
Golden Rule Family.
We do not live together and have no desire to do so.
We see each other when we have a common interest
and choose to, still I can trust she’s for me, as a sister,
if I need her, and visa versa.
We commit only to meeting once a year.
If either of us moved away, still getting in touch,
by some way of communication, at least once a year.
That’s all you would be committing to.
Find one other person you can trust to equally care
for you and visa versa, up to 12 people.
A most easily managable group
We are all of equal value, and need to treat each as such.
This is about equal friendship and the potential having
a worldwide network of people, equally committed to you.
For one person in each group agrees to belong to a board,
elected each year, or rotated if preferred, to a State,
National, or International level.
In this way we have help we can count on when needed,
and become a true real Power of The People, to know and
come together when our basic freedoms are threatened,
that of "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness".
So form your own group and network with at least one
other group, using first names only, where possible to further
protect each other.

People are born with the capacity to know that it is better
to go towards what is good rather than something that is harmful or hurtful, to themselves, or to others. This is the bottom line of our Universal Golden Rule, found in the major world religions, to treat others with equal fairness. Even among unbelievers, there is this innate knowledge that the Golden Rule is the best way to live with others in peace. We have innately a conscience of knowing right from wrong,
and legally can be held responsible, after a certain age, for our actions, with the exception of those seriously mentally ill. Parents, and teachers especially, have the responsibility of strengthening the conscience of children. All of us teach or fail to teach this Golden Rule, of treating others fairly, by our words and actions as well as by their example. Problems arise when The Golden Rule isn't practiced, especially to
those who belong to a different religion, culture, race, or sex. Those who are taken advantage of then often feel justified in taking revenge. This is one of the main reasons why we have stayed in a state of war for at least most of our written history. Other forms of selfishness can be traced to a lack of belief or practice of the Golden Rule. For over half of God's Image, the female half, the inequality
of having males primarily in control, who by their hormonal nature are the more aggressive and violent sex, has left our world unbalanced because this universal Golden Rule is not applied equally to all, in our Religions Institutions. This has created the worship of a false male only Image of God, and allows one sex to rule over the other, with the disastrous results of nuclear war we now face .
If you ask the average person, they do not want war, or to spend half our worlds resources on destruction, but they have been made to feel only those in power can make those decisions. We have to realize each of us can and have the responsibility to make the difference by knowing and practicing the Golden Rule and insisting that our religious and political leaders do too. www.goldenrulefamily.org |
This is being used for State of California, can be used by any other state or Internationally
to form your own Golden Rule Family outside the State of California. In this way there
can be State, National or International NetWorking for a Democratic Power of The People.
GOLDEN RULE FAMILY
PURPOSE
The purpose of the Golden Rule Family Bylaws is to have a legal guide to ensure Justice
for all and specifically in the Family or between just friends, based on the Universal Golden Rule,
found in most world beliefs: To treat oneself and others with equal concern and fairness.
Equality results, when the Golden Rule of equal concern and fairness is practiced, being
the essence of morality found in all Sacred Scriptures, as well as the best ethical practice
of unbelievers, who can see the need for a workable and lasting civilization.
Because of the common misuse to those without equal or just rights, the legal practice of
the Golden Rule can help to ensure that each one, has an equal opportunity for “life,
liberty, and the pursuit of happiness”.
All voting members must give their consent by reading, initialing, and living each page.
Sign and date the last page. A copy of the signed bylaws to be given at each one’s first
official meeting, with a copy kept by the secretary.
You might prefer just to meet once a week, monthly or even less, to eat, or help each other
work together to make our world a better place.
If one group becomes larger than 12, than some may help others to start a new group
One may belong to more than one group yet have just one vote per group or board.
